Cymbal repair

A plate with a crack is always a race towards its total breaking. And, of course, it will have a bad sound.

In B-Sharp Percussion we study each case carefully in order to find a solution.

Although there are many possible processes to follow, this two are the most common:

     - Plate diameter reduction for the crack total disappearance. This is the best solution, but it has some impacts in its fundamental pitch.

      - Half-moon cut. This is the compromise solution between quality and price and it is used in order to change the initial plate sound as little as possible. Unfortunately, the plate stays unbalanced and it has the tendency to lean towards the heaviest side. Also, it could break again.
